In Playas de Tijuana, a young queer man fleeing Russia to avoid being conscripted in the Ukraine war due to his identity, and a middle-aged gay man navigating Northern Mexican machismo, connect through a gay hookup app where they hide behind digital alter egos. When their relationship moves offline, they come face to face with the wounds inflicted by their respective exiles.
